Education

Dr. Cummins studied biology at Cornell University and finished with a BS in Zoology from the University of Washington in 1998. He graduated summa cum laude from Life Chiropractic College West in 2006. He then completed a two year CBP mentorship in New York with Rowe Chiropractic and became CBP certified. In 2009 he opened Cummins Chiropractic & Wellness.

Dr. Cummins added Graston Technique, Active Release Technique, Neurokinetic Therapy certifications and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment to his repertoire.

He uses CBP for postural analysis and correction, and the 4 other technique systems for assessment and correction of functional movement and soft tissue disorders. Correct analysis and optimization of static posture and functional movement are often both necessary to correct difficult cases, especially those involving repetitive movements found in athletics.

Born in Davenport, Iowa, where D.D. Palmer gave the first chiropractic adjustment in 1895 and established the world’s first chiropractic school in 1897, Dr. Cummins has a lifelong passion for the chiropractic profession.

Rowing Career

Dr. Cummins Jr. was exposed to chiropractic at an early age.  His father, Bob Cummins, Sr. DC, also operated a chiropractic office in Bellevue starting in 1968.  He enjoyed a healthy childhood and excelled at athletic pursuits.

Dr. Cummins won an Intercollegiate national rowing championship with the University of Washington in 1997, a 1997 World Championship with the US National Rowing Team, a bronze medal at the 1993 Junior World Championships, and was fifth at the 1992 Junior World Rowing Championships. He was inducted into the University of Washington Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Snohomish County Hall of Fame in 2016. He is married to Anna Cummins, 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist and 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist in rowing. His love of rowing and athletics has shaped his clinical expertise in his quest to be the best at helping resolve difficult cases.
