Bellevue chiropractor Dr. Robert “Bob” Cummins Sr. was honored as he was posthumously inducted into the Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame as the 2026 Frank Foster Sports Contributor for rowing. For our family at Cummins Chiropractic & Wellness, this recognition is especially meaningful. Bob Sr. began his Bellevue chiropractic practice in 1968, building a legacy of caring for people that extended far beyond the walls of his office.

Inside his Bellevue chiropractic clinic, Bob Sr. cared for generations of patients in our community. Outside the office, rowing was his lifelong passion. He helped develop youth rowing in Everett, helped found the Lake Stevens Rowing Club, coached athletes of all ages, served as a USRowing referee, and later became a master boat builder for Pocock Racing Shells.

What mattered most to Bob Sr. wasn’t simply winning races. He believed in what sport could build in people and communities as a place to belong, to be expected, to work together, and to become your best.

A Bellevue Chiropractor Legacy Across Two Generations

That legacy continues through his son, Bellevue Chiropractor Dr. Robert Cummins Jr., who was inducted into the Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame as a rowing athlete in 2016 and followed his father into chiropractic. Today, Dr. Cummins continues that tradition of caring for families as a second-generation Bellevue chiropractor at Cummins Chiropractic & Wellness.

Perhaps most meaningful is that some of Bob Sr.’s original chiropractic patients are still receiving care from his son today. These relationships span decades and generations—a reflection of the trust, personal care, and lifelong commitment to health that began with Bob Sr.’s Bellevue practice in 1968.

For our family, these two Hall of Fame honors are incredibly meaningful: a father honored for what he built and a son honored for what he achieved.  With a family history rooted in rowing and athletic excellence, that legacy also shapes our approach to sports chiropractic in Bellevue and the families we care for at our Factoria chiropractic office.

We are grateful to see Bob Cummins Sr.’s lifetime of service recognized, but even more grateful that his legacy lives on: in the patients who still walk through our doors, the athletes he inspired, and the communities he helped build.

Gold Medal Health. Amazing awaits!
